Responsibility
- Develop and execute category strategies to maximize sales, profitability, and market share for assigned product lines (Food, Fresh, Fashion, Home).
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and pricing strategies.
- Negotiate with suppliers and vendors to secure favorable terms, pricing, and contracts while maintaining strong relationships.
- Monitor inventory levels, stock turnover, and demand forecasting to optimize product availability and minimize excess stock.
- Collaborate with marketing, sales, and operations teams to align category plans with promotional campaigns and store layouts.
- Analyze sales performance, KPIs, and customer feedback to refine product assortments and merchandising strategies.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and regulatory requirements for all sourced products.
- Lead new product launches and seasonal collections, from concept to execution, to drive customer engagement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Supply Chain, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in category management, buying, or retail merchandising, preferably in a supermarket or large-scale retail environment.
- Proven track record in negotiation, supplier management, and cost optimization.
- Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills (proficient in Excel, ERP, or retail management software).
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Deep understanding of consumer behavior, market trends, and retail dynamics in the Food, Fresh, Fashion, or Home sectors.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Indonesian (Bahasa) is an advantage.
