Responsibility
- Supervise and lead a team of cashiers to ensure efficient and accurate transaction processing.
- Oversee the accounting and reconciliation of all cash, check payments, and remittances in the store.
- Monitor and maintain POS machines to ensure they are functioning correctly and troubleshoot any issues.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and security protocols related to cash handling.
- Conduct regular audits of cash registers and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports.
- Train new cashiers on proper procedures, customer service standards, and POS system usage.
- Address customer concerns and escalate issues to management as needed to ensure a positive shopping experience.
- Collaborate with store management to implement process improvements and enhance operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a cashiering or supervisory role within the retail industry.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial transactions.
- Proficiency in using POS systems and basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Excel).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with customers and team members.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Knowledge of cash handling procedures, security protocols, and financial reporting.
