Responsibility
- Secure and manage petty cash funds, ensuring they are physically protected and accessible only to authorized personnel at all times.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all cash transactions, including disbursements, receipts, and reconciliations.
- Conduct regular audits of cash holdings to verify balances and detect discrepancies.
- Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly cash reports to the finance department.
- Implement and enforce company policies and procedures related to cash handling and security.
- Collaborate with the finance team to ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and support during internal or external audits.
- Respond promptly to cash-related inquiries and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in cash management, accounting, or a similar financial role.
- Strong understanding of financial principles, internal controls, and cash handling procedures.
- Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion in handling sensitive financial information.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with financial software or ERP systems.
