Responsibility
- Operate cargo trailers to transport goods from storage facilities to filling plants and sub-dealers.
- Ensure timely and safe delivery of cargo, adhering to scheduled routes and delivery times.
- Load and unload cargo efficiently, ensuring proper handling and securing of goods.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including delivery confirmations and any issues encountered.
- Perform routine inspections of the trailer to ensure it is in good working condition and report any maintenance needs.
- Comply with all traffic laws and regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and sub-dealers to coordinate deliveries.
- Handle any delivery-related issues or delays professionally and promptly.
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Previous experience as a cargo trailer driver or in a similar role is preferred.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects, as well as perform physical tasks related to loading and unloading.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to adhere to delivery schedules.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and the ability to perform minor repairs.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in logistics or transportation are a plus.
