Responsibility
- Coordinate and oversee the daily operations of cargo handling, including loading, unloading, and storage of goods.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies during all cargo operations.
- Collaborate with warehouse teams, drivers, and customs officials to facilitate smooth cargo movement.
- Maintain accurate records of cargo inventory, shipments, and delivery schedules using digital tracking systems.
- Monitor cargo conditions and report any discrepancies or damages to the supervisory team.
- Assist in the training and supervision of junior staff or new hires as part of the onboarding process.
- Optimize cargo storage and space utilization to maximize efficiency and reduce operational costs.
- Respond promptly to customer inquiries and resolve any issues related to cargo shipments.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in logistics or supply chain management are a plus.
- Prior experience in cargo handling, warehousing, or logistics is advantageous but not mandatory (training provided).
- Basic understanding of inventory management systems and digital tracking tools.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- Physical fitness and ability to lift and move heavy objects as required.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and efficiency.
