Responsibility
- Perform and assist in a variety of cardiovascular diagnostic procedures, including echocardiograms, stress tests, Holter monitoring, and electrocardiograms (ECGs).
- Operate and maintain advanced cardiovascular diagnostic equipment, ensuring accuracy and adherence to safety protocols.
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to assess patient conditions, interpret results, and develop treatment plans.
- Prepare patients for procedures, explain processes, and provide compassionate care throughout their diagnostic journey.
- Monitor patients during procedures, identify abnormalities, and report critical findings to the medical team promptly.
- Maintain detailed and accurate patient records, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and confidentiality standards.
- Participate in quality assurance programs, equipment calibration, and continuous professional development to stay updated with industry advancements.
- Assist in emergency cardiac interventions, such as cardiac catheterization, when required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Cardiovascular Technology, Radiologic Technology, Nursing, or a related healthcare field.
- Certification or licensure as a Cardiovascular Technologist (e.g., Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist - RCIS, Registered Cardiac Sonographer - RCS, or equivalent).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in cardiovascular diagnostics or a related clinical role.
- Proficiency in operating cardiovascular diagnostic equipment, such as ECG machines, echocardiogram systems, and stress test devices.
- Strong understanding of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and common cardiovascular conditions.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain procedures clearly to patients and collaborate effectively with medical teams.
