Responsibility
- Source and procure consumables, special items, and other materials as requested by the Purchasing Supervisor.
- Negotiate with suppliers to secure the best prices and terms for materials.
- Maintain and update records of purchases, deliveries, and inventory levels.
- Coordinate with internal departments to ensure timely delivery of materials.
- Conduct market research to identify new suppliers and evaluate their reliability and quality.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures in all procurement activities.
- Monitor and report on market trends and price fluctuations for key materials.
- Assist in the preparation of purchase orders and other procurement documentation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in procurement, sourcing, or a similar role.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Proficiency in using procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of market trends and supplier networks in the manufacturing industry.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Willingness to travel as needed for supplier visits and negotiations.
