Responsibility
- Develop accurate 2D and 3D CAD drawings, blueprints, and schematics for construction and engineering projects using industry-standard software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks).
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to interpret design concepts and translate them into technical specifications.
- Review and revise drawings based on feedback to ensure compliance with project requirements, building codes, and industry standards.
- Maintain organized digital files and documentation for all project-related drawings, ensuring version control and easy retrieval.
- Assist in the preparation of bill of materials (BOM) and cost estimates by extracting data from CAD models.
- Perform site visits or virtual walkthroughs to verify measurements and resolve discrepancies between drawings and on-site conditions.
- Stay updated with the latest CAD technologies, tools, and best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy in design processes.
- Adhere to company and client deadlines while maintaining high standards of quality and precision in all deliverables.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Drafting Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience (2+ years) as a CAD Operator, Drafter, or Design Technician in construction, engineering, or a similar industry.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, or other CAD software; familiarity with BIM (Building Information Modeling) is a plus.
- Strong understanding of construction methodologies, building codes, and technical drawing standards.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce error-free, high-quality drawings under tight deadlines.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering plans, specifications, and redlines.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools is advantageous.
