Responsibility
- Create accurate and detailed technical drawings for fabrication and manufacturing projects using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar).
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, and project managers to interpret design concepts and translate them into precise fabrication drawings.
- Ensure all drawings comply with industry standards, client specifications, and regulatory requirements.
- Review and revise drawings based on feedback from stakeholders to optimize fabrication processes.
- Generate bills of materials (BOM) and other documentation to support production and assembly.
- Maintain organized digital archives of drawings and project documentation for easy retrieval and reference.
- Stay updated with the latest CAD software advancements and fabrication techniques to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Assist in troubleshooting fabrication issues by providing clear and detailed technical drawings.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Draughtsman or CAD Technician, preferably in the fabrication or manufacturing industry.
- Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Inventor, or similar tools.
- Strong understanding of fabrication processes, materials, and manufacturing techniques.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce accurate technical drawings.
- Familiarity with industry standards (e.g., ISO, ANSI) and regulatory requirements for fabrication drawings.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to evolving project requirements.
