Responsibility
- Develop detailed 2D and 3D manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks based on engineering specifications and conceptual designs.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure designs meet functional, aesthetic, and manufacturability requirements.
- Review and revise drawings to incorporate feedback, resolve discrepancies, and maintain compliance with industry standards (e.g., ASME, ISO).
- Create and maintain a centralized library of CAD models, templates, and design documentation for future reference.
- Perform design validations and simulations to identify potential issues and optimize product performance.
- Generate Bill of Materials (BOM) and assembly instructions to support production and procurement processes.
- Stay updated with the latest CAD software features, tools, and industry best practices to enhance workflow efficiency.
- Assist in prototyping and testing phases by providing technical drawings and design adjustments as needed.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in CAD drafting, with proficiency in SolidWorks (AutoCAD is a plus).
- Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) and manufacturing processes.
- Ability to interpret engineering blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications accurately.
- Excellent attention to detail and spatial reasoning skills to ensure precision in designs.
- Proven ability to work in a team, communicate effectively, and meet tight deadlines.
- Familiarity with sheet metal, plastic injection molding, or CNC machining is highly desirable.
- Portfolio showcasing previous CAD projects or design work is a strong advantage.
