Responsibility
- Develop and execute strategic business development plans to expand OwnBankâs client base in Mandarin-speaking markets (China, Taiwan, Singapore, etc.).
- Identify, engage, and onboard high-net-worth individuals, SMEs, and corporate clients seeking innovative financial solutions.
- Conduct market research to analyze trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities in the Asian financial sector.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (marketing, product, compliance) to tailor offerings for Mandarin-speaking clients.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including banks, fintech partners, and regulatory bodies.
- Prepare and present business proposals, pitches, and financial reports in both English and Mandarin.
- Monitor and report on KPIs, including client acquisition, revenue growth, and market penetration.
- Represent OwnBank at industry events, conferences, and networking forums to enhance brand visibility.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
- Proven track record (3+ years) in business development, sales, or relationship management within the financial services sector.
- Fluency in Mandarin (written and spoken) and professional proficiency in English.
- Strong understanding of banking products, digital finance, and regulatory frameworks in Southeast Asia and China.
- Exceptional negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills with a client-centric approach.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret financial data and market insights.
- Self-motivated, target-driven, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.
- Willingness to relocate to Bali, Indonesia (or already based in the region).
