Responsibility
- Develop and execute strategic business development plans to drive revenue growth within assigned named accounts and geographic regions.
- Identify, evaluate, and pursue new business opportunities, including partnerships, distribution channels, and market expansion initiatives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, vendors, and internal teams, to ensure alignment and collaboration.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks in the industry.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with clients to secure profitable and sustainable agreements.
- Monitor and report on sales performance, pipeline progress, and KPIs to senior management, providing actionable insights and recommendations.
- Collaborate with marketing, product, and operations teams to develop tailored solutions that meet client needs and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Represent Boardriders at industry events, trade shows, and client meetings to promote brand visibility and thought leadership.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or account management, preferably in the retail, apparel, or action sports industry.
- Proven track record of successfully identifying and closing new business opportunities, with a focus on named accounts.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, market trends, and financial metrics to drive decision-making.
- Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines.
- Passion for action sports, lifestyle brands, or the retail industry is highly desirable.
