Responsibility
- Maintain and update general ledger accounts with accuracy and timeliness.
- Process accounts payable and receivable, including vendor payments and client invoicing.
- Reconcile bank statements, credit card transactions, and other financial records monthly.
- Prepare and file tax documents, ensuring compliance with local and national regulations.
- Generate financial reports (e.g., balance sheets, P&L statements) for management review.
- Assist in payroll processing and ensure accurate employee compensation records.
- Monitor cash flow and flag discrepancies or irregularities for resolution.
- Collaborate with auditors and provide necessary documentation during audits.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or similar tools).
- Strong knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and tax regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Excel (advanced functions like VLOOKUP, pivot tables).
- Strong communication skills in English (written and verbal).
