Responsibility
- Develop, maintain, and update accurate Bill of Materials (BOM) for all products, ensuring alignment with engineering specifications and production requirements.
- Collaborate with R&D, Engineering, and Procurement teams to validate BOM structures and resolve discrepancies.
- Coordinate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure timely availability of materials and components.
- Monitor and track BOM revisions, changes, and approvals using ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Conduct regular audits to verify BOM accuracy and compliance with industry standards and company policies.
- Support new product introductions (NPI) by creating and validating BOMs for prototypes and mass production.
- Generate reports and analyze data to identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements.
- Assist in resolving production delays or material shortages by proactively addressing BOM-related issues.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in BOM management, production planning, or a similar role in manufacturing/engineering.
- Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar) and Microsoft Excel (advanced level).
- Strong understanding of engineering drawings, part specifications, and manufacturing processes.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with ISO standards, lean manufacturing, or Six Sigma is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and in a team, with a problem-solving mindset.
