Responsibility
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of wet mechanical utility systems, including water supply, drainage, and fire protection systems.
- Conduct feasibility studies, system analyses, and performance evaluations to ensure optimal functionality and compliance with industry standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including architects, civil engineers, and project managers, to integrate mechanical systems into overall project designs.
- Oversee the preparation of detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and technical reports for client and regulatory approvals.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and drafting teams to ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement corrective actions to ensure timely and budget-compliant project completion.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies, industry trends, and regulatory changes to continuously improve system designs and engineering practices.
- Ensure all projects adhere to safety, environmental, and quality standards, conducting regular inspections and audits as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; a Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., PE, CEng) is a plus.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in mechanical engineering, with a focus on wet utility systems such as plumbing, HVAC, or fire protection.
- Proven expertise in using engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, or similar tools) for system design and simulation.
- Strong knowledge of local and international codes and standards (e.g., ASHRAE, NFPA, or equivalent).
- Excellent project management skills, with a track record of successfully delivering complex engineering projects on time and within budget.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
