Responsibility
- Conduct regular inspections, calibration, and preventive maintenance of medical and surgical equipment to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety standards.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, providing timely repairs or coordinating with manufacturers for service.
- Develop and implement maintenance protocols and documentation to track equipment history, performance, and service records.
- Collaborate with healthcare staff to train and educate them on the proper use and handling of medical devices.
- Evaluate new medical technologies and provide recommendations for procurement based on clinical needs and cost-effectiveness.
- Ensure all medical equipment adheres to local and international regulatory standards, including ISO and FDA guidelines.
- Manage inventory of spare parts and supplies, ensuring availability for critical repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Participate in emergency on-call rotations to address urgent equipment issues outside of regular working hours.
Qualifications
- Bachelorās degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. A masterās degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in biomedical equipment maintenance, preferably in a hospital or clinical setting.
- Strong knowledge of medical device regulations, safety standards, and quality assurance practices.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, calibration equipment, and biomedical software.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in fast-paced environments.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with healthcare professionals and technical teams.
- Certification in Biomedical Equipment Technician (BMET) or similar is highly desirable.
- Willingness to relocate to Bali and adapt to a multicultural work environment.
