Are you an expert in Electrical BIM modeling looking to join a high-impact global engineering firm? VIATechnik Inc. is looking for a detail-oriented BIM Specialist (Electrical) to join our Makati City office. You will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between design concepts and construction reality by transforming technical drawings and point clouds into high-precision Revit models.
In this role, you will be responsible for the digital backbone of complex electrical systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve design clashes, streamline workflows through advanced BIM practices, and ensure that every project adheres to the highest quality standards. Responsibility
- Develop and maintain high-fidelity 3D electrical models using Revit MEP and other BIM tools.
- Convert 2D design drawings and complex point cloud data into accurate, construction-ready Revit models.
- Perform rigorous clash detection and coordination to identify potential installation issues early in the design phase.
- Prepare and manage Requests for Information (RFIs) and technical submittals for electrical components.
- Conduct thorough quality reviews of models and documentation to ensure compliance with project specifications and local codes.
- Collaborate closely with internal project managers and external stakeholders to maintain project timelines.
- Stay updated with the latest BIM trends, workflows, and software features to optimize operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
- Proven experience (3+ years) working as a BIM Modeler or Specialist specifically in Electrical systems.
- Expert-level proficiency in Autodesk Revit MEP is essential.
- Strong experience in processing point cloud data and converting it into intelligent models.
- Deep understanding of electrical design principles, cable tray routing, and lighting layout coordination.
- Ability to interpret complex construction documents, blueprints, and schematics.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to coordinate effectively with project teams.
- Knowledge of Navisworks for clash detection is highly preferred.
