At Southern Score, we value creativity, precision, and teamwork. As our BIM Modeller, youâll work on diverse projects, from residential developments to commercial infrastructures, ensuring seamless coordination between architects, engineers, and contractors.
Responsibility
- Develop and maintain accurate 3D BIM models using industry-standard software (e.g., Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks).
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and construction teams to integrate BIM workflows into project lifecycles.
- Perform clash detection and resolve coordination issues to ensure design and construction alignment.
- Generate and update construction drawings, shop drawings, and as-built documentation from BIM models.
- Conduct quantity takeoffs and cost estimations using BIM data to support project planning.
- Ensure compliance with BIM execution plans (BEP) and industry standards (e.g., ISO 19650).
- Provide technical support and training to team members on BIM tools and best practices.
- Stay updated with emerging BIM technologies and recommend process improvements.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in BIM modeling, preferably in construction or architectural firms.
- Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, and BIM 360; familiarity with ArchiCAD or Tekla is a plus.
- Strong understanding of construction methodologies, MEP systems, and structural design.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail in model accuracy.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
- Knowledge of BIM standards (e.g., AIA, COBie) and local building codes is advantageous.
