job description
Join Shanghai Tunnel Engineering Singapore (STECS) as a BIM Coordinator and play a pivotal role in transforming infrastructure projects through cutting-edge Building Information Modeling (BIM) technologies. Based in the vibrant hub of Denpasar, Bali, you will lead the production of high-quality BIM models and construction documents, ensuring seamless collaboration between design, engineering, and construction teams.
This is a unique opportunity to contribute to large-scale civil and tunnel engineering projects while working in one of Southeast Asia’s most dynamic and culturally rich locations. STECS is a global leader in tunnel and infrastructure development, and we are seeking a detail-oriented professional to drive efficiency, accuracy, and innovation in our BIM workflows.
If you are passionate about leveraging technology to enhance construction processes and thrive in a fast-paced, international environment, we invite you to apply and help shape the future of infrastructure in the region.
Responsibility
- Develop and maintain high-quality BIM models (3D, 4D, 5D) for infrastructure and tunnel projects using industry-standard software (e.g., Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD Civil 3D).
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, and construction teams to ensure BIM models align with project specifications and regulatory standards.
- Oversee the production of construction documents, drawings, and clash detection reports to minimize errors and rework.
- Lead BIM execution planning (BEP) and implement best practices for model management, version control, and data integrity.
- Conduct BIM training and workshops for project stakeholders to enhance collaboration and adoption of digital workflows.
- Perform clash detection and resolution to identify and mitigate design conflicts before construction begins.
- Monitor project progress and ensure timely delivery of BIM deliverables in accordance with project milestones.
- Stay updated on emerging BIM technologies and industry trends to drive continuous improvement in modeling and coordination processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in BIM coordination, preferably in infrastructure, tunnel, or large-scale construction projects.
- Proficiency in BIM software such as Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and Tekla Structures.
- Strong understanding of BIM standards (e.g., ISO 19650, AIA, or local regulations) and construction documentation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with 4D (scheduling) and 5D (cost estimation) BIM applications is a plus.
- Familiarity with cloud-based collaboration tools (e.g., BIM 360, Trimble Connect) is highly desirable.
