Responsibility
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks in QuickBooks, including accounts payable/receivable, reconciliations, and journal entries.
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, reports, and statements in compliance with accounting standards.
- Communicate effectively with Spanish-speaking clients to clarify financial data and resolve discrepancies.
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
- Collaborate with the finance team to streamline workflows and improve financial processes.
- Monitor cash flow and budget variances, providing insights to support business decisions.
- Ensure tax compliance by preparing necessary documentation and coordinating with tax professionals.
- Utilize bilingual skills to translate financial documents and facilitate cross-border transactions.
Qualifications
- Proven experience (2+ years) as a Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role, with strong QuickBooks proficiency.
- Fluency in Spanish and English (written and verbal) is mandatory.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Solid understanding of GAAP and basic accounting principles.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple clients/accounts.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting with reliable internet access.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve financial discrepancies.
- Familiarity with payroll processing and tax preparation is a plus.
