Responsibility
- Conduct functional behaviour assessments (FBA) to identify the root causes of challenging behaviours.
- Develop and implement personalised Behaviour Intervention Plans (BIPs) tailored to individual student needs.
- Provide direct therapeutic support to students during classroom activities and social interactions.
- Collect and analyse data to track student progress and refine intervention strategies.
- Collaborate with teachers and support staff to integrate behavioural strategies into the daily curriculum.
- Conduct regular parent consultations to provide updates on student progress and offer guidance on home-based support.
- Maintain accurate and detailed clinical documentation in compliance with school policies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Special Education, Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA), or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience working with children with autism spectrum disorder or developmental delays.
- Certification as a Board Certified Assistant Behaviour Analyst (BCaBA) or equivalent is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of ABA principles and positive behaviour support strategies.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for working with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Demonstrated ability to remain calm and patient under challenging circumstances.
