Responsibility
- Prepare and serve high-quality beverages, including cocktails, mocktails, and local specialties, with consistency and flair.
- Act as a Social Connector by engaging guests in conversations, introducing travelers to each other, and fostering a welcoming community vibe.
- Manage bar operations efficiently, including inventory control, restocking, and maintaining cleanliness and organization.
- Provide personalized recommendations for local attractions, events, and hidden gems to enhance the guest experience.
- Collaborate with the hostel team to plan and execute themed nights, promotions, and social events.
- Handle cash transactions and POS systems accurately while ensuring compliance with local alcohol service regulations.
- Monitor guest satisfaction and address any concerns promptly to maintain Outpost’s reputation for excellence.
- Stay updated on mixology trends, local ingredients, and cultural preferences to curate a unique bar menu.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a bartender in a high-volume, customer-focused environment (hostels, bars, or resorts preferred).
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with a natural ability to connect with diverse groups of people.
- Strong knowledge of cocktail recipes, bar tools, and beverage service standards.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, in a fast-paced setting.
- Fluency in English; additional languages (e.g., Indonesian, Spanish, French) are a plus.
- Passion for hospitality and a genuine desire to create memorable experiences for guests.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions and inventory management.
