Responsibility
- Prepare and serve O’Briens signature sandwiches, salads, and wraps with precision and consistency, adhering to recipes and presentation standards.
- Brew and serve a variety of specialty coffees, teas, and beverages, including espresso-based drinks, using professional equipment.
- Provide friendly, efficient, and personalized customer service to create a welcoming atmosphere for all guests.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked workspace, including the coffee station, food prep area, and dining space.
- Handle cash transactions, process payments, and manage the POS system accurately.
- Assist in inventory management, including tracking stock levels and reporting shortages to the manager.
- Uphold food safety and hygiene standards in compliance with local regulations and company policies.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours and special events.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Barista or Sandwich Artist in a café, restaurant, or similar hospitality setting (minimum 1 year preferred).
- Strong knowledge of coffee brewing techniques, including espresso machines, grinders, and milk frothing.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and quality.
- Basic food preparation and kitchen hygiene knowledge, including safe handling of ingredients and equipment.
- Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling is a plus.
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and varying shifts as required.
