Responsibility
- Prepare and serve high-quality coffee, tea, and other beverages according to standard recipes and customer preferences.
- Operate and maintain coffee equipment (espresso machines, grinders, blenders) to ensure optimal performance and hygiene.
- Provide exceptional customer service with a friendly, professional demeanor, handling orders efficiently and addressing inquiries.
- Process cash and digital payments accurately, manage the POS system, and balance the cash register at the end of shifts.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked workspace, including restocking supplies and adhering to food safety standards.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours and special events.
- Upsell menu items, promote daily specials, and suggest pairings to enhance the customer experience.
- Assist in opening/closing procedures, including setting up the café, cleaning, and preparing for the next business day.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a barista, café staff, or in hospitality is a plus (training provided for motivated beginners).
- Strong communication skills in English; knowledge of Indonesian or other languages is advantageous.
- Passion for coffee and a willingness to learn about brewing techniques, bean origins, and flavor profiles.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multitask, and stay calm under pressure.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a customer-first mindset.
- Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions and inventory.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights (e.g., coffee bags, supplies).
