Responsibility
- Prepare and serve high-quality coffee, tea, and other beverages according to established recipes and standards.
- Operate the cash register, process payments (cash, card, digital), and issue receipts with accuracy.
- Provide friendly, attentive customer service, addressing inquiries and resolving concerns professionally.
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace, including the coffee station, counter, and dining areas.
- Monitor inventory levels of coffee beans, syrups, milk, and other supplies, and report shortages to management.
- Upsell menu items, promotions, or loyalty programs to enhance customer experience and sales.
- Follow food safety and hygiene protocols to ensure compliance with health regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Barista, Cashier, or in a similar customer-facing role (1+ years preferred).
- Strong knowledge of coffee preparation techniques, equipment (e.g., espresso machines, grinders), and beverage recipes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English (additional languages are a plus).
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and reconciling daily sales.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of service and presentation.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights (e.g., coffee bags, supplies).
- Familiarity with POS systems is advantageous.
