Responsibility
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, including espresso, latte, cappuccino, and specialty drinks, following established recipes and presentation standards.
- Operate and maintain coffee machines and equipment, ensuring they are clean and in good working condition.
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting guests, taking orders, and offering recommendations based on their preferences.
- Handle cash transactions and process payments accurately using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including the coffee bar, seating area, and storage areas.
- Monitor inventory levels of coffee beans, syrups, milk, and other supplies, and notify management when restocking is needed.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours and special events.
- Stay updated on the latest coffee trends, brewing techniques, and industry best practices to enhance the quality of beverages served.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a barista or in a similar role is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- Strong passion for coffee and a desire to learn and improve barista skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and quality.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and making change.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
