Responsibility
- Prepare and cook high-quality dishes according to standardized recipes and special dietary requirements.
- Collaborate with the head chef to design innovative menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and local flavors.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen workspace in compliance with health and safety standards.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
- Train and supervise junior kitchen staff, fostering a team-oriented and professional environment.
- Ensure timely preparation and presentation of meals to meet guest expectations and resort standards.
- Adhere to food safety regulations, including proper storage, handling, and sanitation practices.
- Participate in special events, banquets, and themed dinners as required.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a cook in a high-volume kitchen, preferably in a hotel or resort setting.
- Formal culinary training or certification from a recognized institution is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of international cuisines, with a focus on Indonesian or Southeast Asian dishes.
- Excellent knife skills, time management, and ability to work under pressure.
- Familiarity with HACCP and other food safety standards.
- Creative mindset with a passion for developing new recipes and enhancing existing ones.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Fluent in English; knowledge of Indonesian (Bahasa) is advantageous.
