Responsibility
- Oversee the setup, execution, and breakdown of all banquet events, ensuring adherence to Kempinskiās high standards of service and presentation.
- Coordinate with the culinary team to guarantee timely and accurate food and beverage service, aligning with event specifications.
- Lead and mentor banquet staff, providing training, performance feedback, and fostering a culture of teamwork and excellence.
- Liaise with clients, event planners, and internal departments to confirm event details, logistics, and special requests.
- Monitor inventory levels of banquet supplies, including linens, tableware, and decor, and coordinate restocking as needed.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations, maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
- Resolve guest concerns or issues promptly and professionally, ensuring a positive experience for all attendees.
- Assist in the development of banquet menus, pricing, and promotional materials in collaboration with the sales and marketing teams.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in banquet operations, event management, or a related role within the hospitality industry.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team in a high-pressure environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in English (additional languages are a plus).
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities, with keen attention to detail.
- Knowledge of food and beverage service standards, including wine and cocktail pairings.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by event schedules.
- Certification in hospitality management or a related field is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with POS systems and event management software is an advantage.
