Responsibility
- Oversee the setup, execution, and breakdown of all banquet events, ensuring adherence to Mandarin Oriental standards.
- Lead and motivate the banquet team, providing training and guidance to ensure exceptional service delivery.
- Coordinate with the culinary team to ensure timely and accurate food and beverage service.
- Manage event logistics, including seating arrangements, audiovisual equipment, and decor setup.
- Liaise with clients to understand their event requirements and ensure their expectations are met or exceeded.
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure all banquet supplies and equipment are well-maintained.
- Handle guest inquiries and resolve any issues promptly to ensure a seamless experience.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and uphold the brand's reputation for excellence.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a supervisory role within the hospitality industry, preferably in banquets or events.
- Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate staff.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with guests and team members effectively.
- Proven ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of banquet operations, including setup, service standards, and event coordination.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by event schedules.
- Proficiency in English; additional languages are a plus.
- Diploma or degree in Hospitality Management or a related field is preferred.
