Responsibility
- Oversee and coordinate daily backend support operations, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum system efficiency.
- Assist in managing and mentoring a team of backend support staff, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to databases, servers, and application interfaces.
- Monitor system performance and implement proactive measures to prevent disruptions.
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to deploy updates, patches, and new features seamlessly.
- Document processes, incidents, and resolutions to maintain a knowledge base for future reference.
- Assist in budgeting and resource allocation for backend support initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with data security protocols and industry best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in backend support, IT operations, or a similar role.
- Proven leadership or supervisory experience in a technical environment.
- Strong knowledge of database management (e.g., SQL, MySQL) and server administration.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) and troubleshooting tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Familiarity with retail or e-commerce systems is a plus.
