Responsibility
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services for Shopee's digital banking platform
- Implement high-performance APIs for payment processing, account management, and financial transactions
- Build and optimize microservices architecture using modern technologies (Go, Java, gRPC, etc.)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate banking services with Shopee's e-commerce ecosystem
- Ensure system reliability, security, and compliance with financial regulations
- Optimize database performance and implement data caching strategies for low-latency operations
- Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and agile development processes
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues in production environments
Qualifications
- Expected graduation in 2027 with a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
- Strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, and system design
- Proficiency in at least one backend language (Go, Java, Python, or Node.js)
- Familiarity with databases (SQL and NoSQL) and caching technologies (Redis, Memcached)
- Understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices, and cloud computing concepts
- Knowledge of security best practices in software development
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in fast-paced environments
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate in cross-functional teams
- Passion for fintech and digital banking innovation (prior projects or internships in this space are a plus)
