Responsibility
- Monitor security alerts and events using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, IBM QRadar) to identify potential threats.
- Investigate and analyze security incidents, including malware infections, phishing attacks, and unauthorized access attempts.
- Respond to security breaches by following established incident response protocols and escalating critical issues to senior team members.
- Perform vulnerability assessments and recommend remediation actions to mitigate risks.
- Document and report security incidents, including root cause analysis and corrective actions taken.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve security policies, procedures, and controls.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging cybersecurity threats, trends, and best practices.
- Provide 24/7 support for security monitoring and incident response as part of a rotating shift schedule.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 1-3 years of experience in a SOC, cybersecurity, or IT security role.
- Familiarity with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, IBM QRadar, ArcSight) and security monitoring techniques.
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS).
- Experience with incident response, threat hunting, or vulnerability management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) in English.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CEH, or CISSP are a plus.
