Responsibility
- Design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance data architectures that align with business objectives and industry best practices.
- Lead the development and maintenance of data models, databases, and data integration frameworks to support enterprise-wide analytics and reporting.
- Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and business stakeholders to define data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with regulatory standards, including GDPR, PDPA, and other relevant frameworks.
- Optimize data storage, retrieval, and processing to enhance performance and reduce operational costs.
- Mentor and guide junior data architects and engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and trends in data architecture, such as cloud-native solutions, AI/ML integration, and real-time data processing.
- Develop and enforce data governance policies and standards to ensure consistency and reliability across the organization.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in data architecture, with at least 3 years in a leadership or senior role.
- Proven expertise in designing and implementing enterprise-scale data architectures, including data warehouses, lakes, and pipelines.
- Strong proficiency in SQL, NoSQL, ETL/ELT tools, and data modeling techniques (e.g., ER diagrams, dimensional modeling).
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, Kafka).
- Familiarity with data governance, security, and compliance frameworks (e.g., GDPR, PDPA).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience working in the financial services industry is a plus.
