Responsibility
- Install, configure, and test audio-visual equipment, including projectors, sound systems, lighting rigs, and control systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during live events or installations with minimal downtime.
- Collaborate with clients to understand requirements and deliver tailored AV solutions for diverse venues.
- Perform routine maintenance and calibration of AV systems to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
- Set up and operate AV equipment for conferences, concerts, weddings, and corporate events.
- Train end-users on basic AV system operations and safety protocols.
- Document system configurations, service logs, and inventory of equipment.
- Stay updated with the latest AV technologies, industry trends, and best practices.
Qualifications
- Proven experience (2+ years) as an AV Technician, Sound Engineer, or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of audio-visual systems, including mixers, amplifiers, microphones, and video walls.
- Proficiency in using AV software (e.g., QLab, Dante, Crestron) and hardware troubleshooting tools.
- Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams, schematics, and system designs.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail under pressure.
- Physical stamina to lift heavy equipment (up to 25kg) and work in various environments (indoor/outdoor).
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to liaise with clients and colleagues.
- Certification in AV technologies (e.g., CTS, AVI-SPL) is a plus.
