Responsibility
- Install, configure, and maintain audiovisual (AV) equipment, including projectors, sound systems, video walls, and conferencing tools.
- Provide on-site and remote technical support for AV systems, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues related to AV setups, including connectivity, calibration, and compatibility.
- Collaborate with IT teams to integrate AV systems with network infrastructure and other enterprise technologies.
- Conduct regular system checks, updates, and preventive maintenance to extend equipment lifespan.
- Assist in the design and implementation of AV solutions tailored to client needs, including room acoustics and lighting.
- Train end-users on AV system operations and best practices for seamless usage.
- Document technical specifications, service logs, and resolution steps for future reference.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, Audiovisual Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience (2+ years) in AV support, system integration, or a similar technical role.
- Strong knowledge of AV protocols (HDMI, HDBaseT, Dante, etc.) and industry standards.
- Hands-on experience with video conferencing platforms (Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Cisco Webex) and control systems (Crestron, AMX).
- Familiarity with networking fundamentals (IP addressing, VLANs, QoS) as they relate to AV systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in fast-paced environments.
- Certifications such as CTS (Certified Technology Specialist) or AVI-SPL, Extron, or Biamp training are a plus.
- Strong communication skills in English, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
