Responsibility

  • Monitor network performance and infrastructure 24/7 using advanced NOC tools to detect, analyze, and resolve incidents proactively.
  • Lead the resolution of major network outages, coordinating with cross-functional teams to minimize downtime and restore services swiftly.
  • Provide timely and clear communication to stakeholders, including clients and internal teams, during incidents and recovery efforts.
  • Document incident reports, root cause analyses (RCAs), and resolution steps to improve future response strategies.
  • Collaborate with engineering and support teams to implement network upgrades, patches, and optimizations for enhanced reliability.
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for incident management and network troubleshooting.
  • Conduct regular network health checks and performance reviews to identify potential risks and areas for improvement.
  • Mentor junior technicians and provide training on NOC best practices and tools.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Telecommunications, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Network Operations Centre (NOC) or similar technical support role, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead capacity.
  • Strong expertise in network protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS), routing, switching, and firewall technologies.
  • Hands-on experience with network monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, PRTG, Nagios, or Zabbix.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting network issues using tools like Wireshark, Ping, Traceroute, and SNMP.
  • Familiarity with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and hybrid network environments is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively during critical incidents.
  • Strong communication skills in English, with the ability to convey technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, JNCIA, or ITIL are highly desirable.
