Responsibility
- Accurately identify, verify, and catalog truck and automotive spare parts using OEM catalogs, VIN decoding, and technical specifications.
- Collaborate with service teams to ensure the correct parts are selected and available for repairs, reducing delays and errors.
- Maintain and update an organized inventory system, tracking stock levels, reorder points, and supplier lead times.
- Provide technical guidance to customers and internal teams on part compatibility, alternatives, and best practices.
- Troubleshoot part-related issues by analyzing vehicle schematics, service manuals, and diagnostic reports.
- Develop and implement processes to streamline parts management, improving efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Stay updated on the latest industry trends, new part releases, and technological advancements in truck and heavy vehicle systems.
- Generate reports on parts usage, wastage, and procurement to support data-driven decision-making.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Technology, or a related field. Diploma holders with relevant experience are also encouraged to apply.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in parts identification, inventory management, or technical support within the automotive or trucking industry.
- Strong knowledge of truck and heavy vehicle systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical components.
- Proficiency in using OEM parts catalogs (e.g., Mercedes, Volvo, Scania, Isuzu) and digital tools for part lookup and VIN decoding.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Effective communication skills in English (written and verbal) to liaise with teams and clients.
- Familiarity with inventory management software (e.g., SAP, ERP systems) is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a customer-centric approach.
