Responsibility
- Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and servicing of company vehicles to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety standards.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues using diagnostic tools and technical manuals, and execute timely repairs.
- Conduct preventative maintenance tasks, including oil changes, brake inspections, tire rotations, and fluid top-ups, to minimize vehicle downtime.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities, including work orders, service logs, and parts inventory.
- Collaborate with the logistics team to prioritize vehicle repairs and ensure minimal disruption to daily operations.
- Adhere to company safety protocols and industry best practices to create a secure working environment for yourself and colleagues.
- Assist in the procurement of spare parts and supplies, ensuring cost-effective and timely availability of materials.
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior staff or drivers as needed, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an Automotive Technician, Mechanic, or Maintenance Staff, preferably in a commercial or industrial setting.
- Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems in a variety of vehicle types.
- Familiarity with diagnostic tools, such as OBD scanners, multimeters, and other specialized equipment.
- Strong understanding of vehicle maintenance schedules, including preventative and corrective maintenance procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and work orders.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Physical stamina and the ability to work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment, including lifting heavy objects and working in confined spaces.
- Valid driverâs license and a clean driving record are preferred.
- Basic computer skills for record-keeping and inventory management.
