Responsibility
- Diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmissions, and gearboxes to ensure optimal vehicle performance.
- Inspect and maintain brake systems, including hydraulic and pneumatic components, to guarantee safety and reliability.
- Troubleshoot and fix electrical systems, including wiring, batteries, and alternators, using advanced diagnostic tools.
- Perform routine maintenance and servicing on heavy vehicles, adhering to manufacturer guidelines and industry standards.
- Conduct thorough inspections to identify potential issues and recommend preventive measures.
- Collaborate with team members to complete repairs efficiently and meet deadlines.
- Maintain accurate records of all repairs, parts used, and labor hours for documentation purposes.
- Stay updated with the latest automotive technologies and industry trends to enhance service quality.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an Automotive or Heavy Vehicle Technician, with expertise in diesel engines and transmissions.
- Strong knowledge of brake systems, electrical systems, and hydraulic/pneumatic components.
- Familiarity with diagnostic tools and equipment used in vehicle repair and maintenance.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail in identifying and resolving mechanical issues.
- Valid driver’s license and certification in automotive repair (e.g., ASE or equivalent) is a plus.
- Physical stamina to handle the demands of the job, including lifting heavy parts and working in various conditions.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
