Responsibility
- Develop accurate 2D and 3D technical drawings using AutoCAD and other CAD software for industrial, mechanical, or architectural projects.
- Interpret and translate engineering sketches, specifications, and blueprints into detailed digital models.
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, and project managers to ensure designs meet technical and regulatory standards.
- Review and revise drawings based on feedback and redlines to ensure accuracy and compliance with project requirements.
- Organize and maintain digital drawing files and documentation for easy retrieval and version control.
- Assist in material takeoffs and cost estimations by extracting data from CAD models.
- Stay updated with the latest CAD software updates and industry best practices to enhance productivity.
- Troubleshoot and resolve design discrepancies or technical issues in drawings before finalization.
Qualifications
- Proven experience (1-3 years) as a CAD Operator, Drafter, or similar role, with a strong portfolio of technical drawings.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (mandatory) and familiarity with other CAD tools like SolidWorks, Revit, or Fusion 360 is a plus.
- Strong understanding of engineering principles, geometric dimensioning, and tolerancing (GD&T).
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications accurately.
- Excellent attention to detail and spatial awareness to ensure precision in designs.
- Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, and industry standards (e.g., ISO, ANSI).
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Associateās or Bachelorās degree in Drafting, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field is preferred.
