Responsibility
- Prepare detailed mechanical engineering drawings, layouts, and schematics using AutoCAD software.
- Collaborate closely with engineers and project managers to understand project requirements and translate design concepts into technical drawings.
- Ensure all drawings comply with industry standards, company specifications, and relevant codes and regulations.
- Review and revise existing drawings and designs to reflect changes, improvements, or new specifications efficiently.
- Maintain accurate documentation and organize drawing files for easy retrieval and version control.
- Perform calculations for design layouts and material specifications as required to support engineering projects.
- Assist in the preparation of bills of materials (BOM) and project cost estimates based on designs.
- Identify and resolve design discrepancies or potential issues in collaboration with the engineering team.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an AutoCAD Operator or a similar role in mechanical drafting, preferably in manufacturing.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD software, with strong skills in 2D and 3D drafting.
- Solid understanding of mechanical engineering principles, drafting standards, and manufacturing processes.
- Ability to interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and complex engineering specifications accurately.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in all work, ensuring high-quality outputs.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- A relevant vocational diploma or a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, or a related technical field is preferred.
- Experience in the manufacturing sector is a significant advantage.
