Responsibility
- Perform preventive and post-maintenance on Data Centre M&E equipment, including HVAC, UPS, generators, and electrical distribution systems.
- Monitor and analyze power utilization and energy efficiency metrics to optimize data centre performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in M&E systems to minimize downtime and ensure 24/7 operational continuity.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of data centre infrastructure to identify potential risks or inefficiencies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement upgrades or modifications to improve system reliability and scalability.
- Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, incident reports, and system performance logs.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., TIA-942, ISO 27001) and local safety regulations.
- Assist in emergency response procedures for critical system failures or power outages.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in Data Centre M&E maintenance or facility management.
- Hands-on expertise with HVAC systems, UPS, generators, PDUs, and electrical switchgear.
- Familiarity with BMS (Building Management Systems) and DCIM (Data Centre Infrastructure Management) tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Certifications in Data Centre Operations (e.g., CDCP, CDCS) are a plus.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate with local and remote teams.
- Willingness to work in shift patterns or on-call rotations as required.
