Responsibility
- Conduct field and laboratory tests on soil, rock, and construction materials according to ASTM and ISO standards
- Operate and maintain geotechnical testing equipment, including triaxial machines, consolidation apparatus, and shear testing devices
- Collect and prepare soil samples for analysis, ensuring proper documentation and chain of custody
- Perform data analysis and prepare technical reports for engineering teams and clients
- Assist in site investigations and geotechnical surveys for construction projects
- Calibrate testing equipment and maintain accurate records of test procedures and results
- Collaborate with engineers to interpret test data and provide recommendations for foundation design
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and quality control standards in all testing activities
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or related field
- 1-2 years of experience in geotechnical testing or laboratory work (entry-level candidates with relevant internships will be considered)
- Familiarity with geotechnical testing methods and equipment (triaxial, consolidation, proctor, etc.)
- Basic understanding of soil mechanics and foundation engineering principles
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and data analysis software
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow standardized testing procedures
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Ability to work in both field and laboratory environments with occasional travel requirements
