Responsibility
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines to ingest, process, and store large volumes of structured and unstructured data.
- Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to define data requirements and deliver high-quality datasets.
- Optimize ETL/ELT processes for performance, reliability, and cost-efficiency using modern data tools and frameworks.
- Implement data validation, cleansing, and transformation logic to ensure accuracy and consistency across datasets.
- Monitor and troubleshoot data pipeline issues, ensuring high availability and minimal downtime.
- Automate data workflows using Python, SQL, or Airflow to streamline operations and reduce manual intervention.
- Document data models, pipelines, and processes to maintain clarity and enable knowledge sharing across teams.
- Stay updated with emerging data engineering trends, tools, and best practices to continuously improve our data infrastructure.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in data engineering, ETL development, or a similar role.
- Proficiency in SQL (advanced querying, optimization) and experience with relational/NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB).
- Hands-on experience with Python, Scala, or Java for data processing and scripting.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop, Kafka).
- Experience with data pipeline tools such as Airflow, Luigi, or Dagster.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to debug complex data workflows.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
