Responsibility
- Process and verify customs documentation for inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring compliance with Indonesian and international trade regulations.
- Coordinate with customs authorities, freight forwarders, and internal teams to facilitate smooth clearance processes and resolve delays.
- Review and classify goods according to Harmonized System (HS) codes to determine applicable duties, taxes, and restrictions.
- Prepare and submit accurate customs declarations, permits, and other required documentation in a timely manner.
- Monitor shipment statuses and proactively address clearance issues to prevent disruptions in the supply chain.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries and resolving customs-related concerns efficiently.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of customs laws, trade agreements, and regulatory changes to ensure compliance.
- Collaborate with logistics teams to optimize clearance processes and improve operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Trade, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 1-2 years of experience in customs clearance, logistics, or a related role (entry-level candidates with relevant training will be considered).
- Familiarity with Indonesian customs regulations, HS codes, and import/export procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills in English and Bahasa Indonesia, with the ability to liaise with government agencies and clients.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and experience with customs or logistics software (e.g., SAP, CargoWise) is a plus.
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to analyze and resolve clearance issues efficiently.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
