Responsibility
- Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of benchmark and index data, including creation, validation, and distribution.
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and timeliness across all index-related processes.
- Collaborate with investment, risk, and technology teams to align index operations with business objectives.
- Develop and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce operational risk.
- Monitor market trends and regulatory changes affecting index methodologies and adjust workflows accordingly.
- Lead data governance initiatives to maintain high standards of quality and compliance.
- Provide subject-matter expertise on index construction, rebalancing, and performance attribution.
- Support ad-hoc requests and special projects related to index data and analytics.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field; advanced degrees or certifications (CFA, FRM) are a plus.
- 5+ years of experience in index operations, financial data management, or investment analytics within the asset management or banking sector.
- Deep understanding of benchmark indices (e.g., MSCI, S&P, FTSE) and their methodologies.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Python, Bloomberg, FactSet) and financial systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot data discrepancies and implement solutions.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to liaise with global teams.
- Experience with automation and process optimization in a financial operations context.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting while maintaining high productivity and collaboration.
