Responsibility
- Assist the Store Manager in overseeing daily inventory operations, including stock receiving, storage, and replenishment to ensure optimal product availability.
- Monitor inventory levels, conduct regular stock audits, and implement corrective actions to minimize discrepancies and prevent stockouts or overstocking.
- Lead and train store staff on inventory management procedures, safety protocols, and best practices to maintain a secure and efficient work environment.
- Collaborate with the Store Manager to analyze sales data, identify trends, and adjust inventory orders to align with customer demand and business goals.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations related to inventory control, loss prevention, and workplace safety.
- Coordinate with suppliers and logistics teams to manage deliveries, resolve discrepancies, and maintain strong vendor relationships.
- Assist in developing and implementing strategies to reduce shrinkage, improve inventory turnover, and enhance overall store profitability.
- Support the Store Manager in preparing reports on inventory performance, stock movements, and key metrics for senior management review.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in retail inventory management, stock control, or a similar role, with a strong understanding of retail operations.
- Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety, with the ability to lead by example and enforce safety protocols among team members.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy in inventory tracking.
- Strong leadership abilities, including experience training and mentoring staff to achieve operational excellence.
- Proficiency in using inventory management software, POS systems, and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) for data analysis and reporting.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines under pressure.
- Strong communication skills in English, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members, suppliers, and management.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in retail management or inventory control are a plus.
