Responsibility
- Assist in preparing cost estimates, budgets, and tender documents for construction projects.
- Conduct site measurements and quantity take-offs to ensure accurate material and labor costing.
- Monitor project expenditures and track variations to maintain financial control.
- Collaborate with contractors, suppliers, and project managers to negotiate prices and terms.
- Prepare and review progress claims, invoices, and payment certifications.
- Maintain detailed records of project costs, contracts, and financial transactions.
- Assist in resolving contractual disputes and ensuring compliance with project specifications.
- Support the senior quantity surveyor in preparing final accounts and project close-out reports.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in quantity surveying or construction cost management.
- Proficiency in cost estimation software (e.g., AutoCAD, MS Project, or similar tools).
- Strong analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
- Knowledge of construction contracts, regulations, and industry standards.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Familiarity with precast concrete construction is a plus.
