Responsibility
- Assist in preparing detailed cost estimates for ACMV systems, including ductwork, piping, and equipment.
- Conduct quantity takeoffs from architectural and MEP drawings for ACMV components.
- Support the procurement process by evaluating supplier quotes and negotiating contracts for ACMV materials.
- Monitor project expenditures and prepare monthly cost reports for ACMV-related works.
- Collaborate with engineers and contractors to ensure ACMV designs align with budget constraints and technical specifications.
- Assist in variation order assessments and change request evaluations for ACMV modifications.
- Maintain accurate records of ACMV material inventories, deliveries, and installations.
- Participate in site inspections to verify ACMV system compliance with approved plans and standards.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience in quantity surveying, with proven ACMV project exposure (mandatory).
- Proficiency in cost estimation software (e.g., Candy, WinQS) and MS Excel for financial modeling.
- Strong understanding of MEP systems, particularly ACMV, and relevant industry standards (e.g., ASHRAE).
- Excellent analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail in technical drawings.
- Familiarity with BIM (Building Information Modeling) is a plus.
- Effective communication skills in English (written and verbal) for stakeholder coordination.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced construction environment.
