Join Rockone Engineering Sdn Bhd as an Assistant QA/QC Engineer in our dynamic construction team based in Bali, Indonesia. This role is pivotal in ensuring the highest standards of quality assurance and quality control across our projects, aligning with international construction best practices.
As a key liaison, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Chinese management, consultants, and technical experts. Mandarin proficiency is highly preferred to facilitate seamless communication and maintain strong working relationships. Responsibility
- Assist in developing and implementing QA/QC policies, procedures, and work instructions in compliance with industry standards (e.g., ISO, ASTM).
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of construction materials, equipment, and workmanship to ensure adherence to specifications and regulations.
- Prepare and maintain detailed QA/QC documentation, including inspection reports, non-conformance reports (NCRs), and corrective action plans.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to resolve quality-related issues promptly.
- Monitor and verify the calibration of testing equipment and tools used on-site.
- Assist in material testing (e.g., concrete, steel, soil) and ensure results meet project requirements.
- Provide training and guidance to site personnel on QA/QC protocols and best practices.
- Support the preparation of project-specific Quality Plans and Method Statements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 1-3 years of experience in QA/QC roles within the construction industry.
- Proficiency in Mandarin is highly preferred to communicate with Chinese stakeholders.
- Strong knowledge of QA/QC standards (e.g., ISO 9001, ASTM, ACI) and construction regulations.
- Familiarity with testing methods for construction materials (e.g., concrete slump tests, steel tensile tests).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and report-writing skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
- Certifications in QA/QC (e.g., CSQA, CQE) are a plus.
